Is there a Vivino for coffee?
Several apps borrow the Vivino idea, and Cupd takes it furthest for cafés: you scan a bag of coffee, get a recipe for your grinder, and every specialty café gets a Taste Match score for how well its offer suits your taste.
| Vivino does | Cupd does |
|---|---|
| Scan the label of a bottle | Scan the bag: the AI Brew Assistant reads roaster, origin and processing |
| Match wines to your taste | Taste Match: how well each café’s offer suits your taste |
| Show where to buy a wine | Show which coffee each café pours today |
| Serving tips | A recipe for your grinder and Guided Brew with a timer |
Who else tries it
Kava lets you rate single coffees in cafés. Siip scans a bag and shows in percent how well it fits your taste. Specialty Atlas scores beans against a taste quiz. CoffeeBee sorts cafés nearby by the cups you log. Each covers part of the idea; none of them turns the bag into a recipe for your grinder and ranks cafés by what they pour today.
The difference to wine
A wine bottle stays the same. A café changes its coffee every few days, so a fixed rating gets old fast. That is why Cupd scores the café on what is in its hopper right now, entered by the café and confirmed by guests.
